Little Saint Farm is a regenerative vegetable and cut flower farm in Healdsburg, California. Since 2020, we have transformed three acres of former vineyard into a diverse and vibrant farm ecosystem. Our farm supplies produce and flowers to the local plant-based restaurant, Little Saint, as well as other restaurants, CSA members, and farmer’s markets in Healdsburg. We prioritize ecological practices to enhance soil health and promote regional biodiversity.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable Design Lead to join our Floral Farm Crew. This full-time role offers the rewarding opportunity to be involved in every stage of the flower farming process as well as floral design. The Design Lead will collaborate closely with the Floral Manager to:

• Maintain weekly arrangements and seasonal decor at Little Saint Restaurant (LSR)
• Assemble hand-tied bouquets for in-house retail and CSA farm stands
• Track retail inventory and keep retail displays stocked and fresh
• Contribute to weddings, events, and specialty orders
• Assist in maintaining indoor and outdoor plants at LSR
• Delivery of flowers and arrangements to LSR, events, and other clients

In addition to floral design tasks, the Design Lead will be involved in weekly farming and field tasks that include:

• Floral harvest and post-harvest processing
• Field preparation and bed management
• Transplanting, weeding, and crop maintenance
• Light construction and irrigation projects
• Support at our farmer’s market stalls and farm stand as needed
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate is:

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Reliable and self-motivated, and a strong communicator
• A quick learner who adapts easily to different tasks
• A proactive team player who enjoys collaboration and working towards shared goals
• Has previous Floral Design experience
• Has previous Farming experience, this is strongly preferred but not required

• 1+ years of Floral Design experience
• 1+ years of farming or farm related experience (preferred)
• Ability to report to work on time on a daily basis and reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
  
  Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying climates and conditions
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Manual dexterity for tasks such as reaching, grasping, holding and handling items
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with fingers, wrists, elbows, and shoulders
• Ability to stand, sit, climb, bend and squat for extended periods of time
• Comfortably use ladders, power tools, and heavy equipment
• Eligibility to work in the U.S
• Must have full-time availability Monday-Friday with flexibility for occasional weekends
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record for use of farm vehicles and transportation between the farm and LSR

Pay range is $22-$24.00 per hour, DOE
