Remill & Blanching Lead - Headland, AL

This is a full-time, hourly W2 position. We have an immediate opening. Golden Peanut in Headland Alabama is seeking a reliable Remill and Blanching Lead Person. We are seeking career-minded individuals.

Schedule:

12 hour/rotating swing shift (day shift and night shift with some weekends/holidays as it rotates). You will get a schedule ahead of time so that you can plan around your shift.

Pay: $20.51 hourly and an additional $1.50 shift differential when on nights.

• Continuously monitors and adjusts equipment for optimal performance and quality
• Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record
• Maintain a good attendance record
• Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays
• Maintains good communication with all plant personnel (other shifts, departments and managers)
• Maintain production rates
• Understand and perform assigned tasks independently while able to work in a team setting
• Maintain good housekeeping and complete sanitation duties and paperwork as required
• Conduct daily inspections, reporting any problems noted
• Review quality control documents and make necessary adjustments
• Perform sanitation on machines as required
• Perform and assist with the following:
  • Hourly QC checks
  • Machine adjustments to maintain customer specs
  • Change rollers and dies on mills
  • Monitor bin levels
  • Assist in loading trucks
  • Perform sanitation in the work area
• General machinery operation
• Follow all safety procedures
• Work cooperatively with Management Team and co-workers
• May perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to learn and understand necessary quality controls and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability and desire to plan, organize and perform with limited supervision
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Able to meet physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing/sitting, confined spaces, heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs/ladders, exposure to heat/cold/dust, and lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Willing and able to work overtime during peak seasons
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional image and positive attitude
• A desire to learn various operations and grow with the company
• Focus on Safety and commitment to zero-injury culture and PPE usage
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work 8/10/12 hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders

Additional information

Base pay offered may vary depending on factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Overtime pay applies to eligible hours. If hired, employees are in an at-will position and base pay or other compensation programs may be modified at any time.
