X Hardware Design Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our team in Hazelwood,
Missouri to support Avion

Who You Are:

You are an experienced Avion

X Hardware Design Engineer with a passion for systems and component design and electronics. You have a strong technical background, with a desire to apply this to the development of new and cutting-edge avionics systems and components. You also have strong interpersonal skills to work with subject matter experts as well as peers on the team to create deliverables.

Position Responsibilities

• Works with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements

• Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications

• Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

• Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

• Supports fielded hardware and software as required over the entire product lifecycle

• Helps investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to advance applications to meet company business needs

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 years with analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
• 3 years with testing and validating systems
• Experience with System Integration, and System Architecture Design with Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) component

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience in Requirements Management, Electromechanical (EEE) component, Circuit Card Assembly, and Printed Wiring Board specification and quality requirements

• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

• Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
