• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department, Teaching Hospital
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/23/2026, End: 5/23/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

• Active RN license (Illinois or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers with 2+ years of ED experience encouraged to apply
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and IV insertion
• Experience with ED drips, medication administration, and EKGs
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Flexible scheduling required; no block scheduling

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients from neonates to geriatrics in the Emergency Department
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5 (5th patient is low acuity during surge times)
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, perform IV insertions, and administer medications per ED protocols
• Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication dispensing
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and phlebotomists
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance and clinical proficiency
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment following all hospital standards
