Located in the beautiful mountains of southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is a 120‑bed long‑term care facility providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for Kentucky veterans. EKVC is operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and was built for the sole purpose of taking care of Kentucky Veterans.

The EKVC is looking for a self‑motivated, energetic, full‑time housekeeper who possesses the skills, knowledge, and desire to be a part of our team.

• Maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, comfortable, and sanitary environment.
• Maintaining records of maintenance and cleaning of assigned areas and supply usage.
• Performing janitorial, and possibly laundry duties.
• Working with other departments to ensure safety and comfort of all residents at all times.
• Organization of housekeeping closets and supply storage areas.
• Floor care throughout the facility, including tile, carpets, rugs, wood & vinyl flooring areas.
• Operating floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, walk‑behind scrubbers, ride‑on scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and waxing/refinishing equipment.
