Commercial Service and Maintenance Labor (Entry Level with Training)

The laborer performs physical tasks for construction projects in the major technical trades. This position may operate hand and power tools. This position will also be responsible for cleaning and preparing job sites, digging trenches, and cleaning up rubble and debris. The specific on-site tasks are related to the needs and duties of each project.

• Assist with technical tasks in trades, including plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring and roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing skills for doors, windows, and cabinetry.
• Assist with installing fixtures, including windows, roofing, floorings, trim, tile, ceiling, hardware, HVAC, and Switchbox.
• Assist with framing tasks, including wood/metal, drywall, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and T-Bar.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including but not limited to drills, saws, nail guns, hammers, and shovels.
• Responsible for handling tasks involving physical labor, as needed.
• Travel to work sites in their vehicle to complete required tasks and projects. Projects may need a response to 24/7 emergency coverage.
• Maintain a clean job site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Ensure proper safety rules, regulations, and incident reporting are followed.
• Organize building material; load and unload trucks.
• Assist workers on Service & Maintenance assignments.
• Read instructions, specifications, or plans to determine work activities.
• Work safely, adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and protection of co-workers, sub-contractors, the public, and the client by supporting all Company safety efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of general trades: plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring and roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing skills for doors, windows, and cabinetry.
