Responsibilities- Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
- Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
- Serve as an empathetic problem solver for customers by utilizing in‑depth training to recommend the best innovative pest solution for each customer's needs.
- Achieve goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads using a robust advertising budget.
- Schedule sales appointments and meet with potential customers in their homes, explaining how Orkin’s products and services give them peace of mind.
- Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer’s home.
- Make recommendations based on inspection findings, addressing questions, explaining the process, and setting expectations.
- Use the iPad provided to prepare sales agreements and stay organized.
- Competitive earnings from $60,000 to $100,000 per year and a company vehicle with gas card upon route assignment.
- During the initial training period (first 90 days) compensation is $28.58 per hour. After required licensure the position transitions to an exempt compensation structure, which includes a base salary plus commission.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- No experience required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid).
- Ability to work in the field independently and interact with clients.
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roofs, etc., including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Willing to work in different types of weather conditions.
