The Relationship Manager I (RM I) ’s primary role is to consult with members, identify needs, refer appropriate products or solutions, and follow up on pending transactions. Meeting and exceeding performance goals and revenue targets is part of their Minimum Performance Standards. It is also their responsibility to identify and report any suspicious behavior or suspected fraud activity.

The RM I handles a wide variety of duties related to member transactions, including opening and closing all types of deposit and loan accounts, posting deposits, withdrawals, and loan/VISA payments, performing account transfers, recommending other products and services, and performing account maintenance. All transactions must be accurate and completed in a timely manner to achieve Credit Union Member Service goals.

The RM I also profiles the member’s account to recommend products and services such as Investment Services, Insurance Products, First Mortgages, and car‑buying service. This role’s primary focus is the member experience and representing Nuvision Federal Credit Union in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Inputs, processes, and funds all consumer loan types:
    Closed‑end Signature, LOC, VISA, Automobile, Personal, Toy, RV, HELOCS, and Other Secured.
  • Recommends ancillary products when appropriate from meaningful conversations with members.
  • Consults with members to identify needs, offer solutions, and follow up on pending transactions.
  • Holds meaningful conversations with members either in person or over the phone.
  • Calls on various call reports to garner more business during the day and scheduled call nights.
  • Performs RM duties including opening new Member Accounts (Savings, Checking, Money Market, Trust, Certificates, IRA) and completing all appropriate forms (Account Cards, Certificate Application and Agreement, Trust Application and Agreement, Certificate of Trust, etc.).
  • Performs account maintenance: address changes, name changes, updates to account setup, joint owners, beneficiaries, account closures, deceased account processing, and notary services.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious behavior or suspected fraud activity.
  • Completes all required training and compliance modules.
  • Supports continuous improvement activities and Credit Union events such as Car Sales, Open House, and Open Enrolments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains member and sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Treats all team members and members with respect.
  • Represents the Credit Union positively and professionally.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12 months experience in a similar position with prior loan experience and the ability to reach service and performance goals.
  • Working knowledge of deposit/loan products (Trust, IRA, certificates, loans/Loans PQ – loan decision system).
  • Proven ability to generate business.
  • Proficiency with a PC, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Member service and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, understand, and anticipate member needs.
  • Willingness to make a difference.

  • Personable and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone.

  • 18 months experience including prior loan experience and current achievement of service and performance goals.

Education

High school Diploma or Equivalent.

Pay Scale by Geographic Location
  • Northern California:
    Min $22.38 – Mid $27.98 – Max $33.58
