Quality Control / Manager, Quality Technician/ Inspector

Hire Art is helping our client find a Quality Technician (Vehicle Quality) to support the development of business processes that ensure products and services meet defined quality standards, specifications, and ultimately customer expectations.
In this role, you’ll help uphold high-quality standards by performing inspections, documenting procedures, and supporting process improvement activities across receiving quality operations. You will support quality management systems by conducting audits, assisting with root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards across manufacturing and service operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Perform part-level and vehicle-level quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Support incoming material processing and validate conformance to established quality standards.
- Document procedures, inspection results, and work instructions.
- Support the creation and reporting of quality metrics across new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing, and service operations.
- Enter test results and inspection data into SAP and JIRA systems.
- Assist with root cause analysis activities, corrective action implementation, and validation.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and drive resolution.
- Provide service quality support by assisting with root cause investigations of issues that may impact service operations.
- Support the implementation of containment measures related to service operations and inventory components.
- Travel to service locations as needed (approximately 10%).
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, semiconductor, or aerospace industries preferred)
- Experience performing quality inspections based on control plans
- Experience with root cause analysis, problem-solving, and quality control methodologies
- Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills
- Experience performing finished vehicle inspections
- Experience working with SAP and/or JIRA systems
- Industry experience in automotive, software, contract manufacturing, or customer service operations

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Hayward, CA area.
