**** Who You Are:**
* ** 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary assistant required**
* ** Certified Veterinary Assistant, or current veterinary technician student, preferred
*** Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
* Passion for working with animals and their owners
* Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
* Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
* Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
* Perform basic exam procedures
* Skilled in venipuncture (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
* Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
* Comfortable with monitoring general anesthesia and surgical assisting
* Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); IDEXX in-house laboratory
* Excellent client communication/education
* Adaptable to working well with current doctors and team members

** to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have
** experience with rooming patients, drawing blood, radiology, assisting in surgeries, and proper animal handling & restraint**, and being a positive, inclusive and motivating team member.

** Full-time, four to five 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday.  Saturday coverage is required. Closed on Sunday and all federal holidays.
