Technician IV

Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) is hiring a Technician IV in Hayward, CA
. The role focuses on advanced mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in a high‑quality manufacturing environment.

• Perform basic mechanical assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
• Read and interpret work instructions to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members on the production floor.
• Conduct standard testing and routine troubleshooting.
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process.
• Work with 5S and visual controls.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Attendance is an essential job function.

• Proficient in advanced assembly, general inspection, and troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical systems.
• Advanced mechanical background with strong knowledge of historical and current assemblies and manufacturing practices.
• Ability to read assembly prints, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of cable routing, harness configuration, soldering, wiring, and crimping standards.
• General knowledge of operating hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
• Basic GD&T knowledge a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, quality focused, and a quick learner.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external contacts.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in running reports from MRP and quality databases.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Some technician coursework and/or AA technical degree or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing/cleanroom environment or a combination of education and experience required.
• Experience in helium leak testing, module/sub‑assembly testing, and inspection preferred.

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
• Ability to stand/sit for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to use a ladder comfortably.
• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.
• Subject to noise levels.

• Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $26.20 and $39.38/hour;

however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as variable pay, discretionary awards, and benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off. If hired, the employee will be in an “at‑will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time.
