Job Summary: Supports and assists the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational facets of the community. Responsibilities include accounting and bookkeeping tasks, monthly close‑out and financial reporting, invoice processing, rent collection, bank deposits, account reconciliations, and use of property‑management software to track all financial activities.
Responsibilities- Complete daily financial transactions: collect and post rent, fees, and payments; prepare bank deposits and reconcile accounts; generate financial reports; process invoices and payables.
- Operate property‑management software (Yardi/One Site), enter required fields, perform updates and backups, and maintain data integrity.
- Review resident files and accounting records to identify unpaid or late fees; communicate with residents, enforce lease terms, and pursue delinquencies to maximize revenue.
- Process vendor invoices, reconcile work performed, obtain approvals, code charges, and manage communication among vendor, accounting, and owner.
- Handle evictions in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements, representing the community in court hearings.
- Manage resident move‑outs, applying deposits, cancellation fees, and processing dispositions per legal requirements.
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by responding promptly to complaints, questions, and requests.
- Act as on‑site supervisor when the Community Manager is absent: organize daily work, coordinate maintenance and make‑ready tasks, and oversee community operations.
- Assist in client/owner relations by meeting owners, conducting tours, updating performance reports, and responding to owner requests.
- Stand, walk, sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Work outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions.
- Push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 25 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.
- Travel may be required for training, meetings, or assisting other properties.
- Flexible schedule with possible evening, weekend, or holiday calls.
- Corporate positions may include a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
