Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Field Service Manager to oversee a team of maintenance professionals and ensure operational excellence across all service functions. This role is responsible for managing scheduling, inventory, and daily workflow while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in maintenance or operations management, demonstrates effective leadership and organizational skills, and is committed to efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully operational shop office/workspace.
  • Ensure equipment or awaiting parts are either cleared for service the following day, or required parts have been ordered.
  • Work closely with District Operations Manager to identify recurring equipment or operational issues and recommend replacement of equipment that is problematic or outdated.
  • Lead short, focused daily huddles with the Maintenance Team to set goals and review daily work plans, address resource allocation and field support needs, reinforce communication and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and personally respond to maintenance calls to support team and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Confirm scheduled installation dates, installation crews complete and submit a pre‑departure checklist for each job.
  • Service Manager is responsible for verifying completion before any vehicle leaves the shop.
  • Handle incoming service calls and ensure timely response and resolution.
  • Represent the company professionally with all customers and field interactions.
  • Provide timely reporting and updates to the maintenance team.
  • Assist with installations or emergency support when required.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and parts within assigned service vehicle.
  • Complete preventative maintenance service calls as scheduled.
  • Document all service reports and communicate clearly with dispatch.
  • Coordinate with fellow technicians on complex or overlapping jobs.
  • Ensure all service tickets are completed accurately, and customer issues are resolved.
  • Report recurring or systemic issues to management for review.
  • Support coverage for other technicians when needed.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of prior management/leadership experience in maintenance, field service, or operations preferred.
  • Preferred candidates should have familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  • Previous experience with computerized work order system highly preferred.
  • Ability to meet the needs of the facility and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
