Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Staff Therapist is primarily responsible for providing individual, family, Couples and group therapy to clients who meet criteria for services under the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC). Additionally, the Staff Therapist engages in community events, hosts workshops providing psychoeducation, and creates meaningful spaces for connection for community members seeking support. Nine Core Services are offered either directly or through formal partnerships:
Crisis Services, Screening, Assessment, and Diagnosis, Person-Centered and Family-Centered Treatment Planning, Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Primary Care Screening and Monitoring, Targeted Case Management Services, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Peer Supports and Family/Caregiver Supports, Community Care for Uniformed Service Members and Veterans. The Staff Therapist will work closely with all partners including internal La Familia teams, key stakeholders, community organizations, county social workers, parents and team members, consulting and collaborating on client’s progress and treatment plans.
This role will uphold and champion the agency’s mission, vision, and values and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work culture. The successful candidate will also:
- Provide meaningful therapy – Offer individual, family, Couples and group therapy for clients approved by Alameda County Behavioral Health Department (ACBHD) ACCESS, fostering healing and resilience.
- Engage with the community – Lead psycho educational workshops, participate in outreach events, and create safe spaces for those seeking support and connection.
- Deliver well-rounded mental health services
, including:- Crisis intervention and immediate support
- Screening, assessment, and diagnosis
- Person-centered and family-centered treatment planning
- Outpatient mental health and substance use counseling
- Psychiatric rehabilitation services
- Peer and caregiver support programs
- Services provided directly or through strategic partnerships
- Collaborate for client success – Work closely with La Familia teams, key stakeholders, community organizations, county social workers, parents, and caregivers to ensure coordinated, effective care.
- Support holistic wellness – Partner with primary care providers as needed to ensure a well-rounded approach to mental health and overall well-being.
- Champion cultural responsiveness – Deliver high-quality, inclusive services that reflect the agency’s mission, vision, and values, creating a collaborative and supportive work environment.
We are looking for a candidate to work the following shift:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. three-four days a week and 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. shift required one- two weekdays per week.

This position is covered under the SEIU 1021 Collective Bargaining Agreement. In addition to the established base pay, members will receive negotiated annual increases as follows:
- January 2027: 3% base pay increase
