RN – Emergency 312 – St. Rose Hospital
Location:
Hayward, CA
Full‑time (0.9) PM shift – Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun, Thu, F (3 PM–3 AM). Approximate pay range: $57.48 – $86.12. Under general supervision, responsible for managing a group of patients during the shift.
Responsibilities- Assessment – Systematic assessment and data collection focusing on physiological, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and cognitive status.
- Planning – Evaluate, develop, and prioritize an individualized, goal‑directed plan of care based on nursing diagnosis, patient needs, and standards of care.
- Implementation – Provide safe, therapeutic care, demonstrating competence with pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients when assigned.
- Evaluation – Assess and evaluate the plan of care and teaching needs; document effectiveness and revise as needed.
- Professional Behavior
- Confidentiality and Legal Issues – Demonstrate awareness of patient rights and confidentiality.
- Professional Accountability – Maintain current CA licensure and required certifications; exercise responsibility per the Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.
- Leadership and Problem Solving – Supervise and delegate care while promoting professional growth.
- Professional Performance
- Knowledge Base and Technical Skills – Apply sound knowledge and actions within patient care using hospital and service‑specific standards.
- Working Relationships – Formulate effective working relationships with all health‑care team members and patients.
- Communication – Demonstrate effective communication skills using appropriate lines of authority; perform clerical and computer entry functions when needed.
- Other Duties – Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Supervisor/Manager.
- Current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 6 months of hire).
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required).
- Assaultive Behavior Training (required).
- Sexual Harassment / Bullying Prevention Certification (required; 1 month from hire).
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) – preferred.
- Minimum two‑years Emergency Department experience – preferred.
- No referrals or candidates accepted from recruiters or agencies.
Minimum 2 years in the Emergency Department.
