Speech Language Pathologist in Hayward, CA

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized Pre‑K intake assessments at an elementary school setting in Hayward, CA. This contract role extends through the current school year (CSY) and requires on‑site presence to deliver high‑quality speech services that support early childhood communication development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Pre‑K intake speech and language assessments.
  • Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to identify student needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with district guidelines.
  • Adhere to all applicable state licensing requirements and credential standards.
  • Provide culturally sensitive services; preference for candidates proficient in ASL or bilingual.
Qualifications
  • Valid Speech‑Language Pathologist license from the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).
  • Professional speech services credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in school‑based speech‑language pathology, specifically with early childhood populations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Candidates in Clinical Fellowship (CF) status are not eligible.
