Morton Bakar Center, part of Telecare, is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) providing psychosocial rehabilitation and skills-building support for older adults (65+) with severe mental illness.

• On Call; shift hours and days vary as needed

Expected starting salary is $21/hour. Pay is adjusted based on geographic location and relevant experience.

The Housekeeper maintains cleanliness of the facility, performing various duties to ensure an orderly, sanitary, and attractive environment.

• Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces
• Clean furniture, vents, windows, walls, and other areas as directed
• Manage laundry and waste disposal, including medical waste
• Report equipment issues or repairs needed
• Follow fire, disaster, and safety procedures
• Assist with managing assaultive behavior upon request

Required:

• One year of relevant experience in hospitality or healthcare settings
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must be at least 18 years old
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification (or obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Successful completion of background checks and health screenings

Preferred:

• Experience in healthcare
• High school diploma or G.E.D.

Skills: Good communication skills and a desire to work with adults with mental illness.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, stand, bend, and perform manual tasks. Exposure to hazardous materials may occur.
