Equipment Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are hiring a Battery Validation Technician to support hands-on R&D lab activities focused on lithium-ion battery cells and advanced materials development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced lab environment and contributing to cutting-edge battery technology.

• Perform hands-on work with lithium-ion battery cells and related materials in an R&D lab environment
• Prepare polymeric material samples (adhesives, tapes, seals) using precise dispensing tools
• Characterize mechanical, thermal, electrical, and chemical properties using lab equipment
• Follow and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain lab equipment
• Assemble battery cells, components, and sensors into prototypes
• Build and execute test setups using metrology tools and instruments
• Collect, organize, and analyze data using LabVIEW, proprietary instrument software, and spreadsheets
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience as a lab technician (preferably in lithium-ion battery development)
• Strong understanding of lab safety protocols
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (microscopes, thermal chambers, pumps, chillers, gas cylinders, sensors, etc.)
• Experience building assemblies using machined, injection-molded, or 3D-printed components
• Solid understanding of physics fundamentals (current, voltage, resistance, heat, pressure, flow, energy)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
