We’re a leading structural metal decking contractor looking for a skilled Construction Detailer / Design Technician to join our team in Hayward, CA. This is not a back‑office drafting role—your work directly supports fabrication, installation, and successful project delivery.

You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers and field leadership, solve design challenges, and see your work go from screen to steel.

What You’ll Do
  • Produce high-quality steel decking shop drawings using AutoCAD that meet company standards and jobsite realities
  • Interpret and coordinate information from architectural, structural, and engineering documents
  • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and revisions, ensuring accuracy through every change
  • Create detailed bills of material that support fabrication and installation
  • Partner with Project Managers and field supervisors to resolve questions and support successful installs
  • Continuously refine drawings based on clarifications, revisions, and constructability feedback
