Accountantant/Accounting Analyst

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in California. This role involves working with government contracts and nonprofit organizations, making it a unique opportunity for individuals with experience in these sectors.

• Manage and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participate in budget preparation and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and insights.
• Support financial operations related to government contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Ensure timely processing of transactions and maintain up-to-date records in the accounting system.

• At least two years of analyst experience, not just processing.
• Experience with nonprofit organizations or government contracts is highly desirable, as 90% of the funding is government-related.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Monday through Friday, 1st shift.

The position offers a competitive pay rate of up to $36 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
