Mobile Mechanic

About the Role

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.

• Engage customers face‑to‑face on driveways, offering advice and representing the RAC with pride.
• Perform light vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and routine checks.
• Manage stock, complete reporting and maintain clear customer communication.
• Make on‑the‑spot decisions for each customer, varying fixes and challenges daily.

• Level 2 light‑vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Southall, Middlesex – Full time, 40 hours per week. Core hours 8:30 am–5 pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays. Availability Monday‑Saturday 8 am–8 pm after the first month.

• Base salary £38,625, with on‑target earnings up to £55,000 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable).
• Guaranteed overtime option to increase base salary to £44,385 plus bonus opportunities.
