A supportive mainstream primary school in Hillingdon is looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.

This role involves working in a mainstream primary school, supporting a group of EYFS pupils with Special Educational Needs. The school is looking for someone who is approachable, adaptable, and able to make learning fun, while maintaining structure and consistency.

You will support learning through play, communication development, and early interventions, helping children to build confidence, independence, and positive relationships.

This role also offers progression for the right candidate within a supportive and well-led school.

Requirements (Essential)

• CACHE Level 3 Childcare qualification

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN

• PECS and Makaton trained

• EYFS or Primary Experience

• Confident supporting children 1:1 and in small groups

• DBS on the update service or be willing to apply through us

Role Responsibilities

• Support children in EYFS, including pupils with additional needs

• Use PECS and Makaton to support communication

• Assist with play-based and structured learning activities

• Support emotional regulation, independence, and social skills

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO

• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
