A well-resourced and supportive primary school in Hayes is seeking a dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to take on a senior support role, working closely with teachers to deliver learning, interventions, and support for pupils with a range of additional needs.

About the School
The school supports children with Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), communication difficulties, and social, emotional, or physical needs. Some pupils may also have complex medical needs and require individualised care and support.

The Role
As an HLTA, you will:

* Deliver planned learning activities and interventions across the curriculum

* Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to meet EHCP outcomes

* Take responsibility for covering classes across KS1 and KS2 as required

* Deliver targeted interventions in areas such as literacy, maths, and phonics

* Assist with communication strategies such as visual supports, Makaton, PECS, or AAC

* Support emotional regulation, independence, and positive engagement

* Provide personal care and mobility support where needed

* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN and pastoral teams

* Maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

About You

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in primary settings

* Strong understanding of curriculum planning, differentiation, and interventions

* Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach

* Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

* Comfortable supporting personal care or physical needs where required

* Reliable and committed to supporting vulnerable learners

* HLTA qualified or equivalent experience

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
