OSI Optoelectronics is seeking an Assembly & Test Operator. This individual will be responsible for assembling electronic components from written to oral instructions under a microscope using tweezers. They will work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. In addition, they will perform a variety of processing and testing on electronic components.

Performs DC Test, PIND Test, Constant Acceleration, Differential VBE, Temp Test, Laser Mark, Solder Dip, X-Ray, Leak Test, External Visual and Mechanical.

• Assembly of electronic components from written to oral instructions under a microscope using tweezers.
• Conducts DC and PIND tests.
• Performs Constant Acceleration, and Differential VBE.
• Responsible for Temp Test.
• Performs Laser Mark, Solder Dip, X-Ray, Leak Test, External Visual and Mechanical.
• Cross trained in other related test areas as production demand requires.
• Create original documents, reports and spreadsheets and interpret information furnished in written, oral or schedule form.

• Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Related work experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
• Familiarity with optical inspection, eutectic die attach, and ultrasonic wire bonding ideal desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet and email programs.
• Must be able to work with tweezers, microscopes, chemicals such as alcohol, acetone and solder, on a daily basis.
• Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk. Stands and walks throughout the day. May stand for lengthy periods at events.
• Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses.
• Requires excellent manual dexterity.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
