Technical Lead – Palantir at CHAOS Industries

CHAOS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support product engineering. This collaborative role allows you to wear multiple hats and work closely with our product. You will expand your skillset across our product line and leverage Palantir Foundry as CHAOS's internal data operating platform.

• Design and build Foundry-based pipelines and workflows for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data for engineering and operational users.
• Define major parts of our data and backend architecture, including framework and system choices.
• Build and maintain our data infrastructure, real‑time data processing, data transportation, and backend services.
• Collaborate closely with product, system, software, and hardware engineers to integrate data flows into mission workflows.
• Mentor other engineers as the team grows, and work with leadership to define long‑term roadmaps.
• Work 3+ days per week out of our office in San Francisco (Market Street) or Los Angeles (Hawthorne).

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in professional, object‑oriented software development.
• Experience with Python, SQL data warehouses, and no‑SQL systems.
• Experience building, testing, and supporting major systems in production.
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or workflows in Palantir Foundry or other enterprise data platforms.

• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with 2D and 3D visualization, ideally in defense use cases.
• Experience with additional frameworks such as React.
