Hawthorne – Recreational Therapist- CTRS

Pay: $26.11 - $32.64 per hour

We are seeking a Full-Time Activity Therapist (Music, Dance, Drama, Art, or Recreational Therapist). The incumbent will develop outcome-based treatment goals and interventions for patients based on clinical observation and assessment.

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday or Sunday–Thursday

• California Board of Recreation and Parks Certification:
  Recreation Therapist Certified (RTC) or National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification:
  Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
• Must be willing to work weekends.
• Completes activity therapy evaluations and progress notes in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Conducts activity therapy group and individual sessions as needed, demonstrating strong theoretical knowledge of group principles and effective group techniques.
• Communicates effectively with families and outside agencies to promote referral development.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider card required; must obtain CPI certificate within 30 days of hire.

Placement within the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB roles, such as shift differentials and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for this position is a reasonable estimate that ranges from the lowest to the highest amount CHLB/Glendora Hospital, in good faith, believes it might pay for this job based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
