Our client is a well-funded, seed-stage deep-tech startup building the distributed sensing network that will become the central nervous system of maritime autonomy. Backed by top investors and already working with defense partners, they’re pioneering hardware systems to protect ports, borders, and critical infrastructure.

They’re seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of core hardware subsystems from concept through manufacturing. This is an opportunity to be an early technical leader solving challenging analog, power, and integration problems with national security impact.

What You’ll Do-

• Own end-to-end design of electrical subsystems, from architecture and PCB design to bring-up and validation.
• Build custom analog front-ends and power distribution systems, replacing off-the-shelf components with tightly integrated in-house designs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware and mechanical teams to deliver reliable, miniaturized hardware for harsh environments.
• Get hands-on with prototype builds, lab debugging, and system integration.
• Contribute to technical strategy and design reviews as a key member of a small, elite team.

Must Have-

• 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering with strong PCB design skills (Altium or similar).
• Expertise in power systems and/or optics.
• Proven ability to bring up boards from scratch: design, test, iterate, and ship.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment with high autonomy.
• US Citizen (due to defense-related work).
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Nice-to-Have-

• Experience with piezo ceramics, acoustic sensors, or defense standards.
• Prior work in aerospace, robotics, or other mission-critical hardware startups.
• A passion for building systems that have real-world impact on security and autonomy.
