* Summary
* 'Join Hamakua Macadamia Nut Co as a Quality Assurance Technician in Kawaihae, Hawaii. In this role, you will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, supporting our mission of excellence and sustainability on the Big Island.'
*'Responsibilities'
* '
* Conduct quality inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing process.
* * Receives nuts from the farmers, samples, processes, and reports data accurately in a timely manner.
* Takes samples from tanks, WIP, finished products daily and quarterly, test and/or send to a third-party laboratory. Take Environmental swab samples and send them for testing.
* Performs daily verification of scales, PAA testing, label, packaging, and lot code verification and other verifications/testing whenever needed.
* Performs monthly GMP inspections and Glass brittle policy audits of the facility.
* Assists in mock recalls; assist in audit preparations and GMP training
* Records data accurately on a daily basis on QA and production data sheets and communicate to appropriate personnel when a deviation occurs.
* Maintains QA lab and other QA related work/storage areas clean and organized.
* Works with production, maintenance, and warehousing when necessary.
* Assists in implementing GMPs and other regulations.
* Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
* *'Qualifications'
* * Ability to work independently and with a team.
* Ability to work flexible hours when needed including early or late start, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to communicate with the farmers and others positively.
* Accurate data handling and proficiency in Microsoft office word and excel.
* Ability to lift safely lifts 50 lbs.
* Ability to climb the ladder ~25 ft and collect samples from the top of the tanks; harness training required.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid conditions. xrlwcon The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; airborne particles; chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock, vibration, and noise.
Pay:
From $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
