The five‑star, five‑diamond resort offers outdoor restaurants, including Nobu Lāna’i, a kids’ club, Tennis Garden, cultural programming, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, Hawanawana spa and luxury retail boutiques.
Built on lava outcroppings, the award‑winning Jack Nicklaus‑signature golf course features ocean views on every hole. Island activities, many managed by Four Seasons, include sunset sails and whale‑watch tours, horseback riding, sporting clays and archery, biking, hiking, and aerial adventures at Lanai Adventure Park or learning about Hawaiian way finding at the on‑site observatory.
The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. What You’ll Do- Conduct all business and individual affairs with the highest ethical and legal standards while fostering a supportive, cooperative, and positive work environment.
- Develop and implement objectives, performance standards, and individual development plans; provide regular feedback, progress reports, and progressive discipline as needed.
- Build and maintain strong communication and teamwork with supervisors, peers, employees, and community representatives.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Train, direct, and supervise staff in the maintenance of all golf course areas, including greens, traps, tees, fairways, roughs, irrigation systems, drainage systems, maintenance shop, and clubhouse grounds.
- Oversee and participate in pesticide and fertilizer applications, ensuring proper formulation, calibration, and safety practices.
- Manage operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment, including motorized and mechanical tools.
- Assist in planning and executing golf course construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and inventory documentation.
- Assist in developing and managing the maintenance plan and department budget; purchase supplies and materials within budgetary limits.
- Maintain security of golf course property, equipment, and facilities.
- Promote positive public relations and demonstrate a strong understanding of the game of golf.
- Assume supervisory responsibilities in the Superintendent’s absence and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Clean and maintain the Golf Operations Facility and equipment.

- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location, in which case they may qualify for an L‑1 Visa sponsorship).
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in the golf maintenance industry.
- Degree in Turf Management is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
