POSITION SUMMARY
Clean, scrub scum lines, sweep, vacuum, wash down all pools, pool decks and decorative fountains. Clean pump strainers, sand filters, change cartridge filters, clean cartridge filters, dump and fresh fill Jacuzzis and hot tubs as required. Mix chemicals, top off chemical mix tanks, know and wear all personal protective equipment. Read and interpret Material Data Safety Sheets. Assist in maintaining all water features on property.
Assist in repairing all rotating and stationary equipment as related to water features or swimming pools. Assist in conducting water chemical and water meter readings and make entries into logs as necessary. Act as back-up for the pool mechanic, as needed.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
Identify and distinguish colors. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladder. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related
Work Experience:
Mechanical aptitude background; knowledge in operating
handicap chair lift;
Certified Pool Operator training.
Supervisory
Experience:
No supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification:
Valid Driver's License
CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Any certification/training required by local/state agencies
