Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and a detailed‑oriented mindset to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Applicants must successfully complete a background check; certain roles require a valid Hawaii driver’s license and a dependable vehicle. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning common areas, maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues.   32 hours per week
  • Saturday/Sunday: 6:00 am‑2:30 pm
  • Monday/Tuesday: 12:00 pm‑8:30 pm
  • Up to 4 hours more with once‑a‑week office cleanings
• Days off:
  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

• Exhibit effective communication skills and have a solid grasp of the English language.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Follow safety protocols diligently.
• Perform tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces, including frequently touched areas.
• Clean windows and manage spills effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, office areas, and the parking lot.
• Empty trash bins, replace liners, and transport bagged trash to the sidewalk for next‑day collection.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management or the property manager.

• Must pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Hawaii Driver’s License is preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping roles is preferred, though training will be provided.
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Strong Public Relations And Communication Skills Are Essential.
• Applicants must be capable of performing basic manual labor, maintaining common areas, and frequently lifting, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to reach overhead, grasp objects (minimum of 25 lb., up to 50 lb.), kneel, crawl, climb, stretch, walk up and down stairs, use elevators, and climb ladders while standing throughout their shifts.

• Per hour: $16.50
