The Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) of the Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is a statewide program established in 1976 to provide medical, psychological and legal support services for victims of sexual assault, and to promote public policy, awareness and education. The SATC is recognized for leadership in treatment services for survivors of sexual assault, prevention of sexual violence, and improving clinical practices through research and education.
Our mission is to support the emotional healing of those sexually assaulted in Hawai‘i, increase community awareness, reduce the incidence of sexual assault, and ensure effective criminal justice practices.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate the Center’s educational programs on sexual assault as part of the community education team.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders, communicate sensitively, and collaborate with others while working independently and creatively.
- Contribute to program development and assessment to support the Center’s educational objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Public Health, Counseling or related social sciences field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Two (2) years experience delivering educational presentations to children and adults.
- Valid driver’s license and current Hawai‘i auto insurance.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Education, Public Health, Counseling or related social sciences field.
- Experience delivering educational presentations regarding sexual assault or related topics.
- Experience with print, media and technology-based outreach education.
