American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a small critical access hospital in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active HI RN license.

• Small critical access hospital with no separate units — RNs rotate across the ER, acute, and LTC areas as needed
• Primary assignment is the Emergency Department, with backup coverage in acute and LTC areas when the ER census is low
• When assigned to the med/acute side, RN is expected to pass medications and perform procedures for LTC and acute patients
• Schedule is 6x12-hour shifts per two-week period (72 hours bi-weekly) with every 3rd weekend off
• This is not a latex-free facility

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without an active HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ED/Emergency Department nursing experience required

• Orientation involves an initial HR/Employee Health clearance appointment in Hilo, followed by travel to Ka'u Hospital the same day to complete paperwork and receive orientation materials
• Due to the facility's critical access structure, candidates should be comfortable functioning across multiple care settings including ER, acute, and LTC

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Posted job title:
