Catalytic Solutions is seeking an experienced, dedicated Recreational Aide for a full-time, 13-week assignment on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii (Waimea area). This is a unique opportunity to enhance the quality of life for residents while enjoying an unparalleled tropical location.

• Profession: Activities Coordinator (Rehabilitation Therapy Support)

• Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

• Job Location: Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii

• Shift: Full-time, ANY SHIFT

• Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

• Holiday Coverage Required: Yes

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years (minimum, no exceptions)

• Start Date: ASAP

You will be instrumental in designing and implementing engaging activities that support the emotional and physical well-being of residents in a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing setting.

• Essential Skills: Experience with MDS (Minimum Data Set) is required.

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Activity Planning: Independently plan, organize, and implement activities tailored to residents' abilities.

  • Community Reintegration: Support off-site excursions

  • Assessment: Collaborate on assessing residents' activity interests, needs, and concerns.

  • Patient Engagement: Provide one-on-one engagement and, as needed, assist Certified Nurse Aides/licensed staff with basic patient care tasks (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming).

  • Logistics: Coordinate supplies, maintain the activity calendar, and work with the dietary department (including requesting special or ethnic food selections).

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in a recreational care setting.

• Certification: Active BLS certification is required.

• Preferred: CNA certification is a plus.

• Travel Note: Upon confirmation, you must communicate your arrival date on the island and compliance status to the facility promptly.
