Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a mixed inpatient and outpatient role requiring Saturday availability.
Responsibilities- Work setting includes inpatient (25%), acute, ICU, skilled nursing facility (SNF), and outpatient (75%) care
- Patient caseload consists of 5–15 patients daily, with a mix of inpatients and outpatients seen every 30–45 minutes and new evaluations scheduled for one hour
- Responsibilities include coverage in ER, ICU, Med/Surg (acute, observation, SNF), occasional OB, and an outpatient PT clinic
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, and mandatory Saturday shifts
- Must be flexible with work hours as required by patient needs
- Primary responsibilities include PT evaluations and follow-up treatments with focus on both inpatient mobility progression and comprehensive outpatient care
- Requires strong discharge planning skills and the ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting
- Extensive orientation provided including HR, safety, risk and quality management, in-services, and EMR training
- Expected to exercise thorough care approaches for a wide range of outpatient diagnoses and acute inpatient cases
- No COVID-19 vaccination requirement specified
- Current and active state PT license required; must obtain Hawaii PT license as soon as possible
- Minimum of 2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Must be able to work independently and handle a varied patient population across multiple settings
