This role supports the VA disability benefits process by performing Disability Assessments for United States Veterans. You will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran. You will electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal. The Nurse Practitioner DOES NOT make disability determinations; the United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations.

This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans and you will NOT treat or prescribe medication in this position. The position performs Disability Assessments on approximately 3-5 Veterans per day.

Schedule Part-Time: 2 days/week. This is an IN-PERSON position.

• Perform Disability Assessments for Veterans in accordance with VA requirements.
• Review medical records electronically and perform focused, in-person exams.
• Document exam findings and complete required VA forms through the web portal.
• Collaborate as part of a clinical team while adhering to scope of practice.

• Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (or Physician Assistant where applicable).
• Proficient in analyzing data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
• Strong time management skills and ability to stay on task and meet requirements.
