Description
Provides overall project administration support to the Project Manager, top management, and supporting team members. Organizes the necessary team members and specializes in facilitating, reporting, and analyzing projects. Oversees and controls all project variables, and assures the projects are finished on time and on budget. Coordinates administrative and other project activities from simple tasks to larger plans, working with Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Manages schedules, arranges assignments, monitors the progress of projects, acknowledges team suggestions, addresses potential issues, and measures and reports on project performance.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for leading the Programming of Capital Projects and assisting in the Planning and Execution effort. Work directly with key members of the Planning and Projects staff: PCC Architect, Designer and Lead Planner and PCC Project Manager/Coordinator.
- Works directly with customers, consultants, requestors, and other necessary stakeholders to plan and prepare project scopes and approval documents.
- Confers with users, project advocates, PCC Leadership to determine project scope and special considerations. Evaluates field conditions to ascertain the impact on project scope.
- Conducts initial rough order magnitude cost estimates for new requirements/projects for budgetary and approval processes.
- Research codes and applicable standards governing construction, communicates with code, and translates research into construction details.
- Organizes existing drawing files and as-builts into our new filing system.
- Strong interpersonal, managerial and leadership skills.
- In-depth understanding of the built environment, construction operations, and applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
- Good working knowledge of Hawaii's building codes, rules and regulations.
- Good working knowledge of all equipment and materials used in the planning and construction operation.
- Able to read and understand blueprints and develop cost estimates.
- Works successfully as a team member in a culturally diverse environment.
- Have the ability to work under pressure in a team environment to coordinate numerous activities and groups to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Have 2+ years of experience with construction documentation procedures, cost estimating, and creation of construction details for residential and small commercial structures.
To Be Determined (40 Hours per week)
