Role Snapshot

As an After School Group Leader, you’re a trusted presence during the after-school hours—guiding activities, supporting learning, and creating a positive space where children feel safe, included, and encouraged. You’ll help shape daily experiences that balance fun, structure, and connection.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading games, group activities, and enrichment projects

  • Supporting homework time and positive behavior guidance

  • Building strong, respectful relationships with children and families

  • Creating an environment that is safe, inclusive, and engaging

  • Working closely with teammates to keep afternoons running smoothly

What We’re Looking For
  • You genuinely enjoy working with children

  • You’re reliable, patient, and ready to be part of a team

  • You bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • Experience with kids is helpful—but not required

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED

  • Available during after-school hours, Monday–Friday

Select sites may offer Group Leader Aide roles for high school students under 18.

Schedule & Locations
  • Nanaikapono

  • Monday–Friday: Approximately 1:30 PM–5:30 PM

  • Wednesdays (early release): 12:30 PM start

  • Substitute positions may have variable days and hours
