The gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is looking for a Counselor to join the Recreation Team. The role is a casual position with camp runs daily from 9am–10pm, available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Lead and direct children ages 5–12 years old through supervised recreational activities.
• Teach, participate, and interact with children, occasionally work with 13–17 years old during busy seasons.
• Plan, create, and stimulate educational activities for 5–12 years.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Gift snack shop duties:
  Collect and process cash, credit card and room charge payments for all camp fees;
  Collect and process cash, credit card and room charge payments for all concession, workshop;
  Make shave ice, popcorn and cotton candy for concession sales;
  Maintain cleanliness of snack shop stand in accordance with DOH requirements, including sweeping and sanitizing equipment and items used for popcorn and shave ice production.
• Assume supportive functions:
  Transfer trash and dirty linen to designated areas;
  Answering phones, taking reservations, photocopying, filing, and taking inventory;
  Balancing vouchers with daily summary;
  Assist supervisor and manager when needed;
  Advise supervisor on status of inventory and operations;
  Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to security department;
  Attend all mandatory meetings;
  Provide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guests;
  Any other related duties as assigned by Director/Manager.
• Assist with sunscreen application and washroom breaks for camp sessions.

• High school diploma.
• At least 9 months experience working with children ages 5–12 years old.
