The AV Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and delivery of commercial audio-visual systems for an AV integration company. This role manages installation teams, coordinates with project managers and clients, and ensures projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate has strong technical AV knowledge, leadership experience managing field technicians, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsiblities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise AV installation technicians and field engineers
- Assign labor resources to active projects in coordination with project management
- Ensure installation teams follow company installation standards and safety policies
- Conduct regular field visits and job site inspections
- Ensure projects are installed according to engineering drawings, scope of work, and manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate with Project Managers to maintain installation schedules
- Implement and maintain installation quality standards
- Perform system checks, commissioning oversight, and final walkthroughs
- Ensure proper cable management, labeling, rack builds, and documentation
- Verify system functionality prior to handoff
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment staging
- Ensure teams have proper tools, equipment, and documentation
- Manage installation labor budgets and productivity
- Training & Development
- Provide technical training and mentorship to technicians
- Ensure technicians maintain industry certifications and safety training
- Participate in onboarding new installers
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Ensure proper use of ladders, lifts, and personal protective equipment
- Maintain compliance with building and electrical codes where applicable
- 5+ years of commercial AV installation experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role
- Strong knowledge of AV system installation practices
- Experience managing multiple installation teams
- Ability to read and interpret AV drawings and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills in audio, video, and control systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
