NFI Massachusetts is seeking motivated and compassionate graduate students for clinical internship placements across our diverse community-based, clinic-based, and residential programs. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience working with youth and families in a dynamic, mission‑driven environment.

Internship OverviewGraduate‑level clinical interns will work closely with experienced clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver meaningful services to individuals facing behavioral health, social‑emotional, and systemic challenges.
This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
- Conduct clinical intakes, assessments, and documentation under supervision
- Co‑facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning
- Engage with community providers and collateral contacts
- Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with agency policies
- Must be enrolled in a Master’s program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Completion of relevant coursework in clinical practice and ethics
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to working with diverse populations
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned internship site(s)
- Weekly individual and group supervision by licensed clinicians
- Exposure to a range of evidence‑based practices and trauma‑informed models
