Position: Maintenance Technician - Full Time (40 Hours) 7am - 3:30pm

Overview

Come join our team as a Maintenance Technician at Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about behavioral health. Pay Range: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with on-call rotation every other weekend

Responsibilities
  • As a Maintenance Technician, perform a variety of preventive and general maintenance tasks within our behavioral health hospital.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a strong commitment to safety, dependability, and quality workmanship.
  • Maintain the overall safety, functionality, and comfort of the facility for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Complete all duties associated with preventive maintenance systems and safety checks throughout the facility.
  • Assist the Plant Operations Director with general repairs, troubleshooting, and upkeep of interior and exterior areas of the building.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct carpentry, painting, ceiling tile replacement, and other facility upkeep projects as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in rules and regulations affecting maintenance operations, including compliance with OSHA standards and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Report to work in a clean and neat uniform and demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and safety awareness at all times.
  • As directed by the Plant Operations Director, assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems, generator system, sprinkler and fire alarm systems, plumbing and electrical systems, elevator system, paging and smoke detection systems, pest control and environmental systems.
Exterior and Interior Responsibilities
  • Exterior
    :
    Inspect and spot patch roof leaks; repair or replace fencing and gates; check exterior lighting; remove trash and debris; keep walkways, entrances, and parking areas clear and safe.
  • Interior
    :
    Inspect and touch up painted surfaces; repair or replace ceiling tiles, damaged walls, wallpaper seams, and flooring; maintain patient care areas including lighting, handrails, door handles, furniture, call cords, and bathroom fixtures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related maintenance experience preferred; healthcare or institutional facility experience a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safe work practices.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
