Maintenance Technician - Part Time (20 Hours) 7am - 3:30pm

Pay Range$19.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
ScheduleFlexible 20 hours – mostly dayshift (7am-3pm) Monday–Friday, rotating on-call weekends.

Essential Duties- Complete duties associated with preventive maintenance systems and safety checks throughout the facility.
- Assist the Plant Operations Director with general repairs, troubleshooting, and upkeep of interior and exterior areas.
- Maintain and repair plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct carpentry, painting, ceiling tile replacement, and other facility upkeep projects as needed.
- Keep updated on regulatory changes, comply with OSHA standards and Joint Commission requirements.
- Work in clean, neat uniform, demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and safety awareness.

- Plumbing and electrical systems
- Elevator system
- Paging and smoke detection systems
- Pest control and environmental systems
- Inspect and patch roof leaks.
- Repair or replace fencing and gates.
- Check exterior lighting for functionality and safety.
- Remove trash and debris daily around facility grounds.
- Keep walkways and entrances clear of obstacles, snow, and ice.
- Maintain parking lots ensuring cleanliness and accessibility for staff and emergency vehicles.
- Inspect and touch up painted surfaces throughout the facility.
- Repair or replace ceiling tiles, damaged walls, wallpaper seams, and flooring as needed.
- Maintain patient care areas including lighting, handrails, door handles, furniture, call cords, and bathroom fixtures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of related maintenance experience preferred; healthcare or institutional facility experience a plus.
- Ability to perform basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and safe work practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
