Pentucket Medical Associates  Allergy Clinic in Haverhill and Newburyport offers comprehensive care for patients with allergies and immunological disorders. This specialty provides diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as seasonal allergies, food allergies, asthma, and immune system disorders. The team is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and treatment options to deliver personalized care. As part of Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Pentucket Medical Associates has been serving the Greater Merrimack Valley for over 50 years, emphasizing a commitment to patient-centered care and access to a wide range of medical specialties.

We are seeking a full-time, 36-hour Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to support our Allergy team. This LPN/RN will float to both our Newburyport and Haverhill practices. The desired schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or licensed clinical leader and in collaboration with other team members, provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the scope of practice.

• Interviews patients about current problems, medications, and allergies and reviews medical records for pertinent previous and current information.
• Measures and records patients  vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
• Provides basic patient care or treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, performing catheterizations, routine immunizations, and/or nebulizer treatments and visual acuity tests.
• Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse).
• Performs a variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages and performs triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collects samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and performs routine laboratory tests on samples.
• Prepares patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explains procedures.
• Helps patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.

Education

Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma (Licensed Practical Nurse) required or

Associate s Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor s Degree in Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – State License (HR Only) required;
Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) – State License (HR Only) required;
Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
