Position OverviewThe Deburrer is responsible for finishing machined plastic and hardware components by removing burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and surface imperfections. This role is essential to ensuring parts meet quality, safety, and customer specifications prior to shipment or further processing.
What You Will Be Doing- Deburr and finish machined plastic and hardware components using hand tools, power tools, and deburring equipment.
- Inspect parts for quality, surface finish, and compliance with job specifications and work instructions.
- Read and follow travelers, drawings, and quality requirements.
- Handle parts carefully to prevent damage or defects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and 5S standards.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns or defects to supervision or Quality.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Support production schedules by meeting quality and productivity expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Experience working with plastic components and/or hardware is a plus.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and small power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands for handling and finishing parts.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
- Visual acuity required for close inspection of parts.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Exposure to plastic materials, machining residue, and cleaning agents.
