Administrative Assistant – Ambulatory Services
NFI Massachusetts Inc. is a human service organization providing mental health and substance abuse treatment in the Northeast Massachusetts region. We are located in Haverhill, MA and are seeking a full‑time Administrative Assistant to support our Ambulatory Services Division.
The Administrative Assistant will support the Division Director, the Director of Outpatient Services, the Director of Structured Outpatient Addictions Program (SOAP), and the Director of the Massachusetts Impaired Driver Program (MID). Candidates must be detail oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as a member of a large team of clinicians, counselors, and administrators.
Job Responsibilities- Greeting clients and providing a welcoming office environment
- Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Accepting payments and recording transactions accurately
- Managing client records as needed
- Responding to client requests and questions
- Consistently protecting patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies and guidelines
- Assisting prescribers with medication needs and inquiries
- Developing and managing spreadsheets for a variety of division needs
- Faxing, filing, and researching as needed
- One year of administrative assistance experience preferred
- Experience working in a mental health environment preferred
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Full‑time position, Monday–Friday, with some evening availability
Salary: $23.00 per hour
