You will work closely with the Finance Director and Business Directors, while also partnering with the wider group. It is a role with real visibility, trust and responsibility, ideal for someone who likes to be embedded in the business rather than operating at arm’s length. As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the accuracy, integrity and insight of the company’s financial reporting.
You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, while ensuring strong controls, compliance and payroll processes are firmly in place. This is ideally an onsite position and will suit someone who values collaboration, accessibility and being part of the day to day rhythm of the business. Key areas of responsibility:
Ownership of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow reporting Ensuring financial reporting is accurate, timely and compliant with accounting standards and group requirements Leading the budgeting and forecasting process and providing clear, meaningful variance analysis Analysing financial performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities and support senior management decision making Preparing and validating payroll data for submission to the external payroll bureau Maintaining strong internal controls and safeguarding the integrity of financial data Coordinating and managing internal and external audits Leading, supporting and developing a small finance team You will be an experienced Financial Controller or Finance Manager who is ready for a role with ownership and accountability: ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent Solid experience in financial reporting, management accounts and balance sheet control Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capability A practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail Payroll preparation experience Confidence working within a group structure and alongside multiple stakeholders Experience leading and developing small teams A collaborative, down to earth and professional communication style A highly competitive salary and benefits package is on offer for the right person.
