This Suffolk-based engineering business designs and manufactures bespoke structural systems used in warehouse, industrial and commercial environments across the UK. Projects are engineered solutions rather than standard products, meaning each one involves tailored layouts, structural design and fabrication-ready drawings.

The role

You’ll support the engineering team by producing the technical drawings and models needed to take projects from concept through to fabrication.

Typical responsibilities include:

* Producing 3D models of structural systems using Tekla or Advance Steel

* Preparing General Arrangement (GA) drawings for client and engineering approval

* Developing detailed fabrication drawings for manufacturing

* Supporting structural calculations using specialist calculation software

* Managing drawing revisions and maintaining technical documentation throughout projects

You’ll work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are accurate, practical and ready for manufacture.

About you

This role will suit someone who:

* Has experience as a CAD Technician or Design Technician

* Is confident producing 3D models and fabrication drawings

* Has worked within structural steel, fabrication, construction or a similar engineering environment

* Understands how designs translate into real manufacturing and installation

Experience with Tekla Structures or Advance Steel would be beneficial.
