Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced receptionist to work in the specialised and rewarding area of the Pembrokeshire Haematology and Oncology Day Unit (PHODU) at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.
We are looking for motivated individuals with an awareness and sensitivity to the specific needs of this patient group. PHODU is a busy and challenging environment, where oncology and haematology patients are attending for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy and for clinic appointments. Excellent communication skills with a welcoming and courteous demeanour are essential for this role.
The successful Receptionist will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to the needs of the service, providing a welcoming and efficient front of house, to patients and visitors attending or contacting the unit. The role will also involve carrying out administrative general duties.
This is a part time job, 22.5 hours per week, any day Monday to Thursday on a rota basis.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire - Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
