Role OvervieweNGINE is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance a complex enterprise network environment. This role will focus on secure connectivity, scalable routing and switching, and next-generation firewall platforms. You will play a hands-on role in both the design and operational support of critical infrastructure, while also serving as a technical resource for architecture decisions and advanced troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain secure network solutions across enterprise and data center environments
- Configure and support Palo Alto firewall platforms, including high availability, policy enforcement, and remote access solutions
- Implement and manage large-scale VPN architectures supporting segmented access and secure connectivity
- Support Cisco-based switching and routing environments, ensuring performance, resiliency, and compliance with standards
- Administer network access control solutions leveraging Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Participate in network architecture reviews, capacity planning, and technology evaluations
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple layers and technologies, driving issues to resolution
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on integrated solutions
- Provide technical guidance and validation of designs proposed by internal teams or external partners
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall technologies in enterprise environments
- Proven background supporting VPN technologies, including IPsec and SSL-based solutions
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco routing and switching platforms
- Experience administering or supporting Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking principles
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in production environments
- Exposure to data center networking technologies and architectures
- Experience working with Nexus switching platforms
- Familiarity with enterprise wireless solutions and controllers
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- Experience supporting highly available and fault-tolerant network designs
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7+ years of experience in a network engineering or infrastructure role
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or higher are preferred
- Additional industry certifications are a plus
